Michaël Aljarouj, France’s top-ranked flyweight and reigning Hexagone MMA champion, has officially signed with the UFC. He is set to make his promotional debut on September 5 in Paris.
Born in Aleppo, Syria, in 1997, Michaël Aljarouj has an extraordinary life story. As a child, he was forcibly recruited by ISIS as a child soldier before being rescued by his father, who secured his release by paying a ransom.
Now a naturalized French citizen, married and the father of two children, Aljarouj is preparing to take the biggest step of his career by joining the world’s premier MMA organization.
