Yann Levy is a photographer, journalist and filmmaker,
based in Paris, France. He holds a Master’s degree in Journalism, informing his documentary and investigative practice.

His work focuses on social issues, political tensions and collective memory,with a particular interest in working-class communities and long-term narratives.

Working across photography, writing and film,
he develops commissioned assignments alongside
long-term personal projects. His approach combines documentary rigor with immersive, narrative-driven storytelling.

He works extensively on sports as a social, cultural and media space.

As artist-in-residence at a professional Red Star football club (St Ouen, 93), he documented everyday life beyond the pitch: travel, locker rooms, supporter relationships, and the social life of the stands and the kop.

Since its creation, he has been the official photographer of Hexagone MMA organisation, producing portraitsfight coveragepress imagery, and long-term visual documentation of major events.

Alongside his documentary work, he develops media literacy and visual education projects, fostering critical thinking and visual analysis, notably with young audiences in Seine-Saint-Denis.

He also has over 18 years of experience in fashion and e-commerce photography, working on large-scale production workflows combining efficiency, visual consistency and high production standards.
